Upcoming programs at Bay Village Branch Library

The Haunted Housewives are joining us at the  Bay Village branch library on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. for a paranormal presentation revolving around love. They'll explore the heartwarming power of devotion, but also the seedier and more dangerous side of love. They'll highlight some stories from "Love Beyond the Grave" as well as a few of the Haunted Housewives' own personal encounters. 


  • Mondays (10 a.m.) Toddler Storytime – ages 19-35 months
  • Tuesdays (10 a.m.) Toddler Storytime – ages 19-35 months
  • Tuesdays (6:45 p.m.) Family Storytime – for all ages
  • Wednesdays (10 a.m.) Baby and Me Storytime – ages birth-18 months
  • Thursdays (10 a.m.) Preschool Storytime – ages 3-5 (not yet in kindergarten)
  • Fridays (10 a.m.) Family Storytime – for all ages

Wednesday, Sept. 5 (7 p.m.) Mad Scientists: Balloon Rockets – Grades K-2: Join us for a hands-on science program. Build a rocket with paper, string and balloons. Registration required.

Saturday, Sept. 8 (10 a.m.) Preschool STEAM – Ages 3-5: Join us for stories, songs and a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) activity. Registration required.

Wednesday, Sept. 12 (7 p.m.) Grandparents Day with Bloxels – Adult and child in grades K-5:  Celebrate Grandparents Day by designing a video game with your grandchild! Let your imagination run wild as you design and build your very own video game using iPads and the Bloxels app.  

Saturday, Sept. 15 (10 a.m.) "Bad" Art Day – Join this freestyle craft event and try and make the best “worst” art as a family out of fun and ridiculous craft materials. Please register each family member who will be participating.   

Thursday, Sept. 20 (4:00 p.m.) American Girl: Caroline – Grades 2-4: Learn about the times and cultures represented by the dolls. Feel free to bring your doll to the program if you have one.


Thursday, Sept. 6 (3 p.m.) Write On! – Grades 5-8: Join us for fun, quirky and challenging writing exercises and activities to get your creativity flowing.

Wednesday, Sept. 19 (3:30-5:30 p.m.) Homework Mentor Open House – Come meet the Homework Mentor to find out about the help available to your child. The entire family is welcome.  


Monday, Sept. 10 (7 p.m.) A Real Read: Nonfiction Book Discussion – Join us to discuss "Educated" by Tara Westover. The book is available at the checkout desk.

Friday, Sept. 14 (10 a.m.) BAYarts Book Discussion – Join friends, neighbors and library staff for a monthly book discussion on the BAYarts campus. This month's book, "Manhattan Beach" by Jennifer Egan is available at the library and BAYarts.

Saturday, Sept. 22 (2 p.m.) Putting the Garden to Bed – The Master Gardeners of Cuyahoga County will discuss all the things a person needs to do to prepare the garden for winter.
