Local cheerleaders travel to D2 Summit

Teams from Infinity Cheer and Tumbling in Westlake traveled to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida, May 3-5 to participate in the Division (D2) Summit. Each of the competitive cheer teams worked hard for their bids and were proud to have their entire All-Star program invited to compete among the best in the country.

D2 Summit is exclusively for competitive cheer gyms with 125 or fewer athletes. To earn summit bids, teams must compete at sanctioned events during the competitive cheer season. Bids go to the top scoring teams.

Teams Unity and Envy had great performances but did not advance to finals. Ninety-five percent of Unity and Envy athletes had never been to Summit and have goals to participate in D2 Summit next year.

Team Icon was able to advance to Finals and performed a flawless performance. Icon had their highest score of the whole season with zero deductions during their performance at Summit Finals. Icon placed sixth out of 77 teams participating in their division.
