Upcoming programs at Bay Village Branch Library

The popular musical "Come From Away" arrives in Cleveland next month. In anticipation of this award-winning show, join us at the Bay Village branch library on Monday, June 10, at 7 p.m. as a scholar from the Center for Popular Music Studies at CWRU provides insight and background on the production.

  • Tuesdays (10 a.m.) Toddler Storytime – ages 19-35 months
  • Tuesdays (6:45 p.m.) Family Storytime – for all ages
  • Wednesdays (10 a.m.) Baby and Me Storytime – ages birth-18 months
  • Thursdays (10 a.m.) Preschool Storytime – ages 3-5 (not yet in kindergarten)
  • Fridays (10 a.m. and 11 a.m.) Family Storytime – for all ages

Saturday, June 8 (10 a.m.) Water Building Challenge – Grades K-5: Make a working water slide and a boat that floats in this library water challenge.

Saturday, June 22 (10 a.m.) Drive In at Bay – Join us for a Bay Library “Drive In” Movie! Work with your child to transform a plain box into a personalized car. Once the cars are ready and parked, we will enjoy selections from the Disney movie "Mater's Tall Tales."

ADULT

Wednesday, June 5 (7 p.m.) Evoking Native Landscapes – David Slawson will discuss the process of evoking native landscapes using Japanese garden principles. His design process is applicable to any given garden site and locally available rocks and plants.

Friday, June 7 (10 a.m.) BAYarts Book Discussion – Join friends, neighbors and library staff for this monthly book discussion on the BAYarts campus. This month's title, "Inheritance: A Memoir of Genealogy, Paternity and Love" by Dani Shapiro, is available at the library and BAYarts.  

Tuesday, June 11 (6 p.m.) Library For All: Adapted Adult Programs – Join us for fun, adapted programs featuring stories, art, music and more, specifically designed for adults with developmental disabilities and their caregivers. Adults (18+) of all abilities are welcome.

Saturday, June 15 (2 p.m.) Middle Eastern Cooking – Discover the basics of Middle Eastern culture and cuisine. The Western Reserve School of Cooking will demonstrate traditional Middle Eastern food recipes and share samples.
