Horticulturist to speak at Herb Guild meeting

The September meeting of The Herb Guild Garden Club will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Westlake Porter Public Library. The meeting will start at 10 a.m. Following lunch, guest speaker Ron Dzurec, a horticulturist from the Cleveland Botanical Garden, will give a presentation on the gardens at the Botanical Garden.

There are currently 11 themed gardens, including the Hershey's children's garden, a Japanese garden, a rose garden and an herb garden, to name a few. Ron will talk on the gardens that he is responsible for inside and outside of the center plus relate to us upcoming public events in the gardens. Visiting the Cleveland Botanical Garden is a pleasant time and the admission is only $12 for adults.

The Herb Guild is a local organization and meets on the second Wednesday of the month at Porter Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road, in the Porter Room. New members and guests are always welcome. For more information on the upcoming meeting, visit theherbguild.org.
