Cleveland's prize winning float at the 1912 parade in Columbus was based on a popular allegorical sculpture by Canadian Ella Buchanan.
The 1914 Cleveland suffrage parade attracted 10,000 marchers in support of another Ohio constitutional amendment for woman suffrage. The amendment was defeated.
