Wednesday, July 6 (6:30-8:30 p.m.) Horror Film Club – Join us for another creepy classic from the Vault! New members are welcome, but children under 13 must be with an adult. Join us in person or stream on Watch2Gether.com. The link will be posted at 6 p.m. the day of the program. Please register.
Wednesdays, July 6 and 13 (7-7:30 p.m.) and Saturdays, July 9, 16 and 30 (10:30-11 a.m.) Family Storytime – Join us for rhymes, songs and play! For families with children ages 2-6. Siblings are welcome. Registration begins one week before each session.

Thursday, July 7 (2-3 p.m.) Teen Crafternoons – Join us for in-person crafting. For teens in grades 7-12.
Thursday, July 7 (9-10 p.m.) Virtual Author Talk: Alka Joshi – Join us online for an evening with the New York Times bestselling author of "The Henna Artist" as she discusses her book. Streamed live. Please register.
Friday, July 8 (10 a.m.-noon) Hand Sewing for Literacy – Learn basic sewing skills and create a sewn project while listening to a story with sewing as its central theme. Hand sewing helps kids develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, self-confidence, patience and focus – skills used in reading and writing. Caregivers are encouraged to stay for the program to learn the sewing techniques and assist their child(ren). Younger siblings are welcome and a simple stitching project will be available for them. Grades 3-5. Please register.
Friday, July 8 (1-3 p.m.) Movies @ Your Library – Enjoy a feature-length newly released movie or favorite family classic! Contact Youth Services for specific title. All ages. Please register.
Friday, July 8 (4-4:30 p.m.) Read It, Make It @ the Library – Make a craft based on a story that is read aloud. Grades PreK-1, siblings are welcome. Please register.
Saturday, July 9 (1-2 p.m.) Pokémon Fun – Join Miss Rachel for Pokémon fun! This will be a time to view and trade cards, do a craft (if desired), and play a Pokémon bingo game. Feel free to bring your cards! Ages 6-11. Please register.
Sunday, July 10 (2-3 p.m.) Brick Builders – Do you love Legos? Bring your ideas and imagination to Brick Builders! Bricks provided. No registration required, but room capacity is limited. First come, first served. Ages 5-12.
Sunday, July 10 (2-4 p.m.) Anime Club – A great club for anime and manga lovers! All otaku and newbies welcome! Grades 7-Adult. Please register.
Monday, July 11 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Crafty Adults Kit Pick-Up – Feeling crafty? Make a craft project of your own with this simple pick-up kit. For adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Please register.
Monday, July 11 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Tween Craft Kit Pick-Up: Shrinky Dink Crafts – A take home craft for grades 4-6. Please register.
Tuesday, July 12 (10-11:30 a.m.) Computer Basics & Introduction to Northstar – Learn how to turn on a computer, use a mouse, go online, and access Northstar Digital Literacy for self-paced online learning. Please register.
Tuesdays, July 12, 19 and 26 (2-2:30 p.m.) Reading Buddies – Partner up with one of our teen reading buddies to practice your reading skills and share your favorite stories! Grades 1-3. Registration begins one week before each session.
Tuesday, July 12 (2-4 p.m.) Make and Take Jump Rope Fun – Make your own jump rope using recycled plastic grocery bags and learn some chants to try it out! Ages 8-12. Please register.
Tuesday, July 12 (4-4:45 p.m.) The Science of Magic Tree House – Join Mrs. K as we explore the book "Tonight on the Titanic." Grades 1-2. Please register.
Tuesday, July 12 (6-8:30 p.m.) HeartSaver CPR/AED – Get certified for adult, child, and infant CPR and AED. Class led by certified instructors from UH St. John Medical Center. Visit uhems.org/event-search to register. Email account required. Participants under the age of 14 must have a parent or legal guardian in class. Tuesday, July 12 (7-8:30 p.m.) Tuesday Evening Book Club (In Person AND Virtual) – Join us in person or on Zoom to discuss "The Push" by Ashley Audrain. The discussion will be held in person and on Zoom simultaneously. Please register. If you register for the Zoom option you will receive a Zoom invitation and instructions by email.
Wednesdays, July 13 and 27 (3-4 p.m.) Family Game and Puzzle Time – Put together a puzzle or enjoy a game at the library! You can bring your own or use one of ours! Ages 3-12. Families can gather and have fun in an understanding and empathetic environment. This program is inclusive and is for those with disabilities and typical peers. Registration begins one week before each session.
Wednesday, July 13 (7-8 p.m.) Cookbook Discussion – Join us as we share recipes from "The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Dinnertime" by Ree Drummond. This book is available to download on Hoopla Digital. Pick a dish from the book to share with a group of 15. Please email your selection or any questions to email@example.com by July 8. We’ll meet to share our dishes and discuss any changes we would have made. Please register.
Thursday, July 14 (10-11:30 a.m.) Microsoft Excel & Introduction to Northstar – Learn the basics of Microsoft Excel, and how to access Northstar Digital Literacy for self-paced online learning. Registration begins July 7.
Thursday, July 14 (noon-1 p.m.) Virtual Author Talk: David Allen – Join us online as we sit down with New York Times bestselling author David Allen, one of the world’s most influential thinkers on personal productivity. Streamed live. Please register.
Thursday, July 14 (6:30-7:15 p.m.) and Saturday, July 23 (11-11:45 a.m.) Adapted Storytime – Join us for this storytime designed for children who may not be successful in a typical storytime. Content is geared toward ages 3-7. Registration opens one week before each session.
Thursday, July 14 (7-8 p.m.) Thursday Night Book Discussion – "Take Me Apart" by Sarah Sligar. Participants will need to obtain their own copies of the title. Please register.
Fridays, July 15 and 22 (9:30-10 a.m.) Summer Yoga with Ms. Jen – Calm your body, mind and spirit in this yoga class taught by Ms. Jen, certified yoga instructor! Wear comfy clothes and bring your own mat or towel. Ages 2-6, siblings welcome. Registration begins one week before each session.
Friday, July 15 (10-10:45 a.m.) Reading Rocks! – Celebrate how great reading is at this special adapted storytime, and then paint a rock afterward! Ages 5-10. For children with disabilities and their typical peers. Registration begins July 8.
Friday, July 15 (9-10:30 p.m.) Movies Under the Stars – Enjoy a feature length newly released DVD or favorite family classic. Contact the library for specific titles. We will be outside in our field enjoying an evening under the stars. Movies will begin at dusk; bring lawn chairs and blankets for chilly evenings. Snacks are okay to bring. Building restrooms will be accessible. Caregivers must stay with their child(ren) during programming. No registration required.
Saturday, July 16 (2-3:30 p.m.) Smash Bros. Tournament – Test your Super Smash Bros skills at our annual tournament. Additional game stations will also be set up and snacks will be provided. This event is for anyone heading into grades 7-12. Register starting July 9 to save your spot. Drop-ins welcome, but space is limited.
Saturday, July 16 (4-5:30 p.m.) Adult Smash Bros. Tournament—Test your Super Smash Bros skills at our annual tournament. Additional game stations will also be set up and snacks will be provided. This event is for anyone 18+. Register beginning July 9 to save your spot. Drop-ins are welcome, but space is limited.
Monday, July 18 (1-2:30 p.m.) True Crime Book Club – This month’s title is "Amy: My Search for Her Killer: Secrets and Suspects in the Unsolved Murder of Amy Mihaljevic" by James Renner. Please register.
Monday, July 18 (2-3 p.m.) Roblox Arcade – Love Roblox? We have some private servers set up for Tweens in grades 4-6 to hang out with their friends and enjoy some of the most popular games via Zoom. Join us in person or online. Please register.
Monday, July 18 (3-4 p.m.) Oceans of Possibilities – The ocean is an expansive oasis teeming with life and wonder hidden away under endless stretches of rolling waves. For many people, what’s under the surface is only ever witnessed in books and movies. Greater Cleveland Aquarium provides the unique opportunity to see some of these magnificent animals up-close. Watch in awe as sharks, stingrays and other sea creatures from the pages of your books come to life on your screen. Discover other fascinating ocean-dwellers and learn all about this spectacular aquatic world. This program will take place on Zoom. Please register.
Monday, July 18 (7-8:30 p.m.) 3D Printing Orientation – In order to use the library's 3D printer, you'll need to take this orientation first. Learn library policies about using it, how to download a 3D-printable object, and how to prepare it for a great print. Registration begins July 11.
Monday, July 18 (7-8 p.m.) Investors' Interest Group: Financial & Estate Planning – Presented by Connie Costanzo with Association of Financial Educators. Please register.
