Queenswood Bridge Replacement - March 19 - April 12

The replacement of the Queenswood Drive bridge involved removing existing trees to allow heavy construction equipment to access the bridge structure for demolition, removing the road surface and then taking down the underlying concrete tunnel over Sperry Creek.

  • March 19, 2019 - The replacement of the Queenswood Drive bridge over Sperry Creek in Bay Village has started.

  • March 19, 2019 - Tree removal begins to allow heavy construction equipment access to the underlying bridge structure at the river.

  • April 9, 2019 - Lookin south -The road surface is removed on the Queenswood Drive bridge.

  • April 9, 2019 - Temporary pipes carry the water of Sperry Creek while construction proceeds above.

  • April 11, 2019 - A Black Horse Bridge Construction crew continues removing the existing bridge structure.

  • April 11, 2019 - Chipping away on the concrete tunnel over Sperry Creek.

  • April 11, 2019 - Looking north - the concrete structure over the river is torn down.

  • April 12, 2019 - the old bridge structure is down.
