My name is Tom Henderson and I’m asking for your vote as Ward 4 Council Representative. My wife, Melissa, and I moved to Bay five years ago and look forward to raising a family here. I’ve entered this election because I believe Bay is Cleveland’s premier suburb and I want to lead our city towards a bright future while protecting its unique character. 

As your representative, I will listen to opinions, research facts, make informed decisions and communicate openly. Bay will thrive if it is a community where young people choose to move, families choose to live and seniors choose to stay. This requires our city to provide services, facilities and infrastructure we desire while holding taxes steady.

As a Senior Project Manager in corporate finance at Cleveland Clinic, I manage the financial aspects of acquisitions and joint ventures. I have prior experience in management consulting, investment banking and international operations. I’m also a Director on the board of a nonprofit organization that helps people build small businesses and hold an MBA in finance from Case Western Reserve.

Financial expertise is vital on City Council and I believe that I have the education required to evaluate budget proposals and the experience necessary to recommend sound fiscal policy. If elected, I will seek to ensure Bay maintains its investment grade credit rating so we can continue to invest in our future and make Bay a great place to live for this generation and the next!
