Village Bicycle Cooperative celebrates Community Christmas

Are you ready to illuminate? On Dec. 8, Bay Historical Society and Bay Kiwanis are celebrating Bay Village Community Christmas at Cahoon Park beginning at 2 p.m., and residents are encouraged to light luminaries at home to help welcome Santa and the holidays.

Village Bicycle Cooperative is ready to help by sponsoring a “bike crafts" event on Dec. 8 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Community House. Stop by and be “green” and festive for the holidays. Learn how to make a votive candle holder, ornament and bracelet from bike parts. Supplies and light refreshments will be provided. Donations are appreciated. Email jennifer@villagebicycle.org to register.

This is the season to help others. Volunteering at Village Bicycle Cooperative is a good way to meet neighbors, help others and have a festive good time. You may assist in refurbishing bikes which will be donated for children in need during the holiday season. Also if you have a bike that you would like to donate, please do. Bike donations are tax deductible.

Visit www.villagebicycle.org for open hours. The cooperative is located on the ground floor of the Community House at 303 Cahoon Road. Volunteer nights are Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m.

Let’s get ready to light up Bay Village!
