Aaron and Elizabeth Winsor Aldrich, pictured here later in life, were in their early 20s when they arrived in Dover Township in 1816.

This two-story house was built in 1830 by the Aldrich family. An addition was added on the east side at a later date. The house still stands on Lake Road and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
