Meet the Candidates, Bay Village Ward 3: Cheryll McCarty

Cheryll McCarty

I am so honored live in Bay Village with my family. There are many wonderful things about Bay Village, including our schools, neighbors and friends, and the security and safety of our city.

Since moving to Bay in 2006, I have been very active in the community. I have coached soccer and served as concessions director for Bay Baseball. I was PTA president of Westerly and Bay High School. I am currently president of PTA council, a board member of Bay Rocket Boosters, a Kiwanis member, a volunteer and parishioner of St. Raphael’s church, and a Bay Village Community Council member.

I have always felt a need to give back through volunteering, fundraising or using my many skills to help others. Now, I want to give back on a larger scale, by serving all the citizens of Bay Village. I want to be the voice on city council who will focus on maintaining our strong family traditions and values, protecting our park settings and recreational resources, and listening to you and your concerns.

Please consider electing me as your next Ward 3 councilwoman. I will help to develop a plan to move the city into the future without forgetting our past, introduce drug awareness information to the community, maintain transparency with city government, develop a plan to bring small businesses to the city and maintain current business relationships, and continue to improve the sewer systems.

My past leadership experiences, love for the community and passion to serve will benefit not only Ward 3, but the entire city of Bay Village.
