Westlake pool opens for the summer

Chilly temperatures and some new restrictions did not stop Mayor Dennis Clough from being the first to take a dip at the Westlake Aquatic Center & Peterson Pool at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 13, when it opened for the 2020 season. Last year, the mayor marked the facility’s grand opening by gliding down one of the center’s winding waterslides and breaking the ribbon at end.
The facility will be open to members only and is operating under a set of new guidelines in light of Covid-19. Those guidelines and information on how to reserve a time to use the facilities are listed on the city’s website at www.cityofwestlake.org/372/Westlake-Aquatic-Center-Peterson-Pool.
