Thursdays, June 17 and 24 (1-1:30 p.m.) Family Storytime (Live) – Join us on Zoom for an interactive storytime featuring books, rhymes, songs and movement. For families with children up to 2-6, siblings welcome. Please register. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions.

Thursday, June 17 (7-8 p.m.) Writing the Rainbow: An Hour of Creative Writing to Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride Month (Live) – Join us for an hour of creative writing prompts to celebrate and nurture our own journey toward self-acceptance. All are invited. Please register and supply an email address to receive Zoom instructions.

Monday, June 21 (9- a.m.-9 p.m.) Celebrate Summer! Craft Bag Pick-Up – Celebrate the start of summer with a bag of fun crafts! Please register. Kits will be available for pick up until June 29 unless other arrangements are made.

Monday, June 21 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Crafty Adults Supply Pick-Up – Make a craft project of your own with this simple kit. For adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities. While supplies last. No previous crafting experience necessary. Some household items, such as glue, scissors, or markers will not be included. All other craft items will be supplied. Please register. Contact WPPL at 440-250-5471 if you need an alternate pick-up option.

Monday, June 21 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Teen Craft Pick Up – Come to the Drive-Up Window to pick up a craft kit from June 21 through June 29. Grades 7-12. Please register.

Monday, June 21 (7-8:30 p.m.) Investors Interest Group: Value Investment in a New Era (Live) – Dr. Huaiyu Peter Chen, associate professor of finance at Williamson College of Business, Youngstown State University, will explore the principles of Benjamin Graham's Value Investing in light of today's intangible underlying assets. Monday, June 21 (7-8:30 p.m.) Maker Monday: Alternatives to Cable TV (Live) – Frustrated with cable? This program will help you sort through the alternatives available. Please register to receive a Zoom link.

Tuesdays, June 22 and 29 (10-10:30 a.m.) and Wednesday, June 23 (7-7:30 p.m.) Family Storytime – Join us in person, weather permitting, for an interactive storytime featuring books, rhymes, songs and movement. For families with children up to 2-6, siblings welcome. Staff will make every effort to notify you in a timely manner if we cannot meet in-person. In that case we will meet on Zoom. Zoom invites will be sent to all registered attendees only if we will not be meeting in person. Registration begins one week before each session. Please register every person that will be attending including children and adults .Caregivers must stay with their child(ren) during programming. Masks are required for anyone ages 2 and up.  

Tuesday, June 22 (7-8 p.m.) Build Your Own Board Game Supply Pick-Up and Program (Live) – Register to pick up a kit and then join us for a Zoom program to show off your creation, see what everyone else created, and we’ll also do some board game trivia. Grades 4-6. You will need a kit to participate in the program. Registering for a kit also registers you for the program. Pick-up begins June 15. Please register. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions.

Wednesday, June 23 (4-5 p.m.) Summer Teen Writers Workshop (Live) – Join fellow Teen writers (grades 7-12) this summer as we create an anthology of short stories. You pick the genre, characters, time period – everything. This is the second of a 4-part series. During each session we’ll reveal a new writing challenge to work into your story. Come with an idea and by the end you’ll leave with a fantastic short story. Please register. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom information.

Wednesday, June 23 (7-8:30 p.m.) Ohio is So Gay! Trivia Night (Live) – Celebrate Pride Month at WPPL as author, journalist and professor Ken Schneck returns to host a fun-filled evening of LGBTQ+ trivia! Please register to receive a Zoom link for the program.

Thursday, June 24 (3-4 p.m.) Harry Potter Night Supply Pick-Up and Program: Summer Edition (Live) – Join us on Zoom for Harry Potter Night! You will need a kit to participate in the program. Registration for the Zoom event also registers you for a kit. All ages. Please register for both the kit and the program. Kit pick-up begins June 17.

Thursday, June 24 (3:30-4:30 p.m.) Roblox Arcade (Live) – Love Roblox? We have some private servers set up for Tweens in grades 4-6 to hang out with their friends and enjoy some of the most popular games via Zoom. Please register.

Friday, June 25 (10-10:30 a.m.) Adapted Storytime in the Garden – Join us for this storytime in the Reading Garden designed for children who may not be successful in a typical storytime experience. Content is geared toward ages 3 to 7 years. Children with varying learning styles and abilities learn together in a safe and supportive environment where respect and appreciation for differences is encouraged. This 30-minute storytime is followed by time for socialization. This program is weather permitting. Staff will make every effort to notify you in a timely manner if we cannot meet in-person. If we cannot meet in-person, we will meet on Zoom. Zoom invites will be sent to all registered attendees only if we will not be meeting in person. Registration begins June 18. Please register every person that will be attending, including children and adults. Caregivers must stay with their child(ren) during the programming. Siblings may attend but must register separately.

Friday, June 25 (2-2:30 p.m.) Outdoor Summer Fun: Chalk the Walk! – Join us in front of the library to chalk the walk and celebrate the start of Summer! Ages 4-8. This program is weather permitting. If we cannot meet in-person, we will notify participants of a make-up date. A decision about weather will be made 24 hours in advance. Caregivers must stay with their child(ren) during programs. Masks are required for anyone ages 2 and up. Registration begins June 18.

Friday, June 25 (4-4:30 p.m.) Happy Birthday, Eric Carle! – Join us in the Reading Garden to celebrate author Eric Carle with stories, activities and a colorful craft project. Ages 3-6. Registration begins June 18. Please register every person that will be attending, including children and adults. Caregivers must stay with their child(ren) during programming. This program is weather permitting. Staff will make every effort to notify you in a timely manner if we cannot meet. 

Monday, June 28 (9-9:30 a.m.) Yoga with Ms. Jen! – Calm your body, mind and spirit in this yoga class taught by Ms. Jen, certified yoga instructor! Dress for the weather and bring your own mat/towel and water bottle as we will be in-person OUTSIDE, weather permitting. Up to grade 1. If we cannot meet in-person, we will meet on Zoom. Staff will make every effort to notify you in a timely manner if that’s the case. Zoom invites will be sent to all registered attendees only if we will not be meeting in person. Registration begins June 21. Please register every person that will be attending, including children and adults. Caregivers must stay with their child(ren) during the programs. Masks are required for anyone ages 2 and up.

Monday, June 28 (6:30-7:30 p.m.) CBD 101 (Live) – Learn what CBD is, its forms, how to use it, and how to ensure you are using a good product. Handout will be sent via email after the program. Please register. Participants must provide an email address to receive Zoom instructions.

Tuesday, June 29 (6:30-7:45 p.m.) Painting Pride Flowerpot Painting Workshop – Celebrate Pride Month by painting flower pots and chatting with other members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. Event will take place in-person in the Reading Garden, weather permitting. Masks and social distancing must be followed unless the policy changes. Paint and flowerpots will be provided. Registration is required. If we cannot meet in person, we will meet on Zoom. Zoom invites will be sent to all registered attendees.

Wednesday, June 30 (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) Discovery Box for Teens Sign-Up – A personalized subscription box services for teens in grades 7-12. Each box will include a book, a paper craft, a mystery snack and a few other surprises! After signing up you’ll receive a survey to help us personalize your box to your taste. Registration begins June 23. Pick-up takes place July 7-9.
