Respect the dog! Respect the cat!
Many times we hear complaints about pet owners being rude and non-compliant to ordinances. Sometimes it’s true. Here's a reminder of ways to care for our four-legged companions:
Please leash and pick up after your dog. License and provide identification for your pets. Spay and neuter your pets. Microchip and keep that current. Foster, adopt and donate. Help educate and advocate for lost and homeless pets. Provide proper shelter.
If you are biking, walking or jogging behind or in front of a dog, give a shout or clear safe distance as to not startle or create a reaction. If you lose a pet, be prepared to provide current and sufficient proof of ownership.
Contact local police or animal control if you find an abandoned, lost, stray or injured animal. This is for your safety and the animal's safety.
Please be kind to animals. They are a beautiful gift and cherished by many.
