District taps Bay Middle School principal for human resources, operations role
The Bay Village Board of Education voted unanimously on June 27 to confirm the appointment of Aaron Ereditario as the district’s Director of Human Resources and Operations. Ereditario currently serves as Principal of Bay Middle School.
In his new role, Ereditario will lead the district’s personnel program and business operations. He will work out of the Board of Education office, 377 Dover Center Road. The Bay Village resident has worked for Bay Village Schools for the last 11 years, serving at Bay Middle School the last three years, and the eight years prior as Assistant Principal of Bay High School.
“I have cherished my time as Principal of Bay Middle School – and before that as Assistant Principal of Bay High School – and I am excited about my new role with the district,” said Ereditario. “I look forward to working with all parents and staff, Pre-K through grade 12, and ensuring Bay Village Schools secures the best talent for its buildings.”
Ereditario received a BS in Psychology and a BA in Spanish from the University of North Dakota; a MEd from Ashland University in Educational Administration; and an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University, with a focus on Human Resources. This Spanish teacher began his career in 2000 at Open Door Christian School in Elyria, and then as a teacher and coach at Avon High School, before becoming Assistant Principal at Vermilion High School. Ereditario joined the Bay Village City School District in 2011.
He and his wife, Bridget, have four children: twin daughters Kathryn and Maizy, members of Bay High School’s Class of 2022; Rocco, a rising freshman at Bay High School; and Isabelle, age 2. Ereditario is also active within the Bay Village community, serving as a trustee for the Bay Village Education Foundation, as a member of the Kiwanis Club of Bay Village and he served as an Elder with Bay Presbyterian Church. He also is a program director for the district’s STEM Academy.
“Aaron’s talent and experience made him the best person for this important position within our district,” said Interim Superintendent Char Shryock. “We take comfort in knowing Aaron will play a large role in finding his successor.”
Interim Superintendent Shryock and future Superintendent Scot Prebles worked together on this hire, and will continue that collaboration in selecting the next Principal of Bay Middle School.
Ereditario succeeds Moira Erwine, who served as Interim Director of Human Resources for the 2021-22 school year.
