Second annual Rotary Art Festival is July 30

The Westlake Bay Village Rotary is again hosting their annual Art Festival on Saturday, July 30, in the green space on the campus of the Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road.

The Art Festival will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:00 a.m. by celebrity guest Tim Richards from Cleveland radio station Star 102.1. The Rotary members and Porter Public Library Friends are excited that Richards, a Mentor native, is making a special trek to Westlake, the star city of his morning co-host Jen Toohey, to open the 2022 Festival.

Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough will also be on hand with an official proclamation recognizing nationally renowned artist Shaun Kinley as the Festival Featured Artist. Shaun is famous for his rendition of Cleveland skylines, cityscapes, and sports acrylic impressions on canvas. Shaun will have several original paintings for sale as the 2022 featured artist.

The festival has grown to over 50 artists with original works displaying painting impressions, unique jewelry and “one of a kind” creative crafted pieces. The festival also has different live music performers, a beer and wine garden, balloons for kids, food trucks all day and plenty of free parking.

For early festival attendees: The Westlake Kiwanis is hosting a pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Westlake Elementary School next to the library. Early morning patrons can enjoy breakfast with the Kiwanis, and then walk to the library to enjoy a fun-filled festival.

The July weather looks to be great and artists can still get booth space at www.westlakebayvillagerotaryartfest.com. For more information about the Rotary Art Festival, and business sponsorships, patrons may contact Joe Kraft directly at josephkraft7@gmail.com

We'll see you at the Art Festival!
