LWV chapter to discuss 'hidden government' issues
David S. Greenspan, President of Westlake City Council, will be the discussant at the Thursday, Sept. 22, meeting of the Westlake-North Olmsted chapter of the League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland. Guests are welcome to attend. The meeting will be at Westlake Porter Public Library, 27333 Center Ridge Road., at 7 p.m.
Attendees will engage Greenspan in commentary about the best (and worst) examples of how city, county and state governments work together to optimize living and working conditions for citizens, business owners, and employees.
Greenspan’s public service career has provided him with ample opportunities to observe and affect intergovernmental relationships. He first served on the city council in Sandy Springs, Georgia, and after moving to Westlake, held council committee positions prior to his election as President of Council in 2021.
Greenspan served as District 1 representative to Cuyahoga County Council from 2011 to 2016 and was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, District 16, from 2017 to 2021.
The program will be recorded for later viewing on the League of Women Voters’ YouTube site. For further information, contact westlake-northolmsted@lwvgreatercleveland.org.
