Annual Pumpkins for Pets fundraiser exceeds 2021 donations

The 2nd annual Pumpkins for Pets fundraiser was held on Oct. 8 at Bay Middle School. The fundraiser collects money from donations for the Bay Village Kennel and the Quincy Humane Society.

We were thrilled to exceed last year's donations, raising $1,700 for these two organizations. It was a beautiful, chilly, fall day and anyone who stopped by enjoyed free pumpkins, cookies, cider, pet photos and was entered into a drawing for the "Dawg" basket!

My love for my community and my rescue dog Quincy Jones, a 5-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, prompted me to start this fundraiser in 2021. Quincy is the star of the day and we are both grateful for all who stopped by or made a donation!
