Nomination period opens for annual Bay Village honors

The Bay Village Community Council has opened the nomination period for the annual Bay Village Citizen of the Year and Project of the Year awards, to recognize those who have offered their time and talents in the service of others.

Citizen of the Year nominees, either individual or couple, must be Bay Village residents that have provided significant community service without monetary reward. Although not necessarily an annual designation, special projects will be considered for Project of the Year based on community impact and the involvement of volunteers and organizations.

Download a nomination form for Citizen of the Year or Project of the Year, or pick up a hard copy from City Hall or the Bay Village Branch Library. Completed forms may be submitted via email to tara@wbvobserver.com or mailed to Bay Village Community Council, 350 Dover Center Road, Bay Village, OH 44140.

The Community Council will accept nominations until Monday, Jan. 16, and the selection committee will meet shortly afterward to choose this year’s winner.

The Bay Village Community Council is where Bay’s civic groups come together. Representatives from member groups meet quarterly to discuss upcoming events and initiatives, share ideas and look for collaboration opportunities.
