Art exhibit at Center for Artful Living
The Carolyn L. Farrell Foundation’s Center for Artful Living is exhibiting the work of Daniel Pruitt, MFA, in its gallery through February. The Center, located at 26633 Detroit Road in Westlake, is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. to view and purchase his artwork.
The exhibit reflects milestones in Pruitt’s career as a professional artist. Included are mixed media, watercolor collages and various techniques of fused glass works.
A portion of the sales of Pruitt’s artwork will help support the work of the Farrell Foundation, which provides arts enrichment for individuals impacted by dementia. For questions, call 440-414-0434.
Pruitt is a former North Olmsted City Schools art teacher and recently retired from his own glass fusing studio and gallery in the Lake Erie Screw Factory in Lakewood, where he both produced and taught glass fusing. He has exhibited extensively throughout Northeast Ohio. He and his wife and longtime Lakewood residents.
The Farrell Foundation has served many people throughout northeastern Ohio affected by brain health issues including dementia/Alzheimer’s and their care partners. The goal is to help improve their lives by giving meaning and purpose in both practical and creative ways. In addition to arts enrichment and exercise programs, the foundation has a monthly Support Group and family coaching sessions to assist the individual and family through the journey.
