Westlake Demons Athletic Boosters recognizes veterans

Flags are planted in front of Westlake High School in honor of our veterans.

Westlake Demons Athletic Boosters (WDAB) is thrilled to share its fifth annual Veterans Day Flag Display at Westlake High School. Twenty-five athletic teams from Westlake High School and Lee Burneson Middle School, along with the Athletic Department, have each planted a flag in honor of our American veterans.

Each veteran has a connection to the Westlake athletic community. They are grandparents, neighbors, friends, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Signs featuring specific honorees accompany the display. One large sign highlights all the honorees from the inception of the program.

The flag display is available to view through Sunday, Nov. 12, near the main entrance of Westlake High School, 27830 Hilliard Blvd.
